T-Ball 2007

Hello All!! Sorry I have been missing in action lately, but my life, as is I'm sure everyone else's, has picked up a bit of speed. My parents were in town last week and it was nice spending time with them. The kids absolutely enjoy their Grandma and Grandpa so it has seemed that the days were just getting away from us. Not to mention that the boys are in baseball and that pretty much has us going EVERY night of the week, however Jarred's season just ended and he had a blast.

As I mentioned before he did have a few minor breakdowns, but for the most part it was a good year. Rusty and I really talked to him about keeping his emotions under control and it took some effort, but we managed to make some great progress.

So in honor of his good little season I thought I would share some pics of my little T-Baller..aka Major Leaguer..in action.

Here he is in all his glory.. all 45 inches and 5 full years of him!!

He started the season off at 2nd base and then they moved him to shortstop. Here he is of course down in his "ready position"...a little something he has heard Dad yelling at his big brother for the past couple weeks..hehe

Here he is making a routine stop.

Another shot of him stopping a grounder..My Dad took these pics and he did sooooo awesome about capturing the pic at the right time..great job Dad!!

Here he is eyeing the ball to take a major whack at it!!

And here comes the WHACK!!

Running for his life to the next base..Seriously I am not exaggerating when I say this, at times this is how he felt..Sigh

Waiting intensely for the crack of the bat so he could run Home..hehe

Coach Rusty watching and coaching from the outfield in his usual position and spitting sunflower seeds to pass the time.

All in all it was a great year and a lot of fun. Jarred improved alot on his baseball skills, but even more importantly I think he gained some major ground in life lessons.

Great Job Cubbies and Great Job Jarred!!!

Out For A Stroll

Hailey LOVES to play outside..and so our little ritual most mornings is that at about 10:30 I leave the front door open and her and Jarred play outside. I leave the door open so she can come in and out as she pleases. We live in a cul-da-sac and so there isn't any major traffic, but I do have a make-shift gate that is blocking her exit to the road. So the other morning as I was walking through the house and went to check on her...I walked out the front door and noticed that the gate was pulled down and I looked toward the cars and who do I see?? Little Miss Hailey Ann out for a stroll in the road. I told her to get back in the yard and of course scolded her for her behavior. I then got a closer look at all her accessories for her little journey and so I couldn't resist making a memory out of this moment. She of course was mad at me for making her get back into the yard, so as you can see in the pic she wouldn't look at me. Sigh....

My Little World Traveler!!

Notice the mis-match shoes, but she did mange to remember to bring a a "ba-ba" for her babies. And of course no good woman ever leaves home without her purse..LOL

My Graduate

Yesterday was Jarred's pre-school graduation..He was so pumped for this little event, that was ALL he could talk about!! It was supposed to be at the park and the kiddos were gonna get one last play session for the year, but when we woke up it was pouring down rain..bummer. However we just moved the little occasion indoors and it continued to be a good day for all of our little achievers.

My two sister-in-laws came along with his grandma..of course Daddy took time out of his work day to attend and so that really made Jarred's day!! I took a few pics to help remember this special day......

Here Jarred is accepting is little certificate and a flower to plant in our pot out front......

Posing proudly for the camera....

His last OFFICIAL task as a pre-schooler, passing out Popsicles..

His teacher MariLou was so great this year and Jarred really thought she was just awesome!!

A little pic of Daddy and Hailey posing with the Star of the Day!!

This little boy was seriously on cloud nine for the rest of the day...As we drove away from the school we had this little conversation, too cute not to share.....

Jarred: "Mom, Do I look taller?
Me: "Umm, I don't know?"
Jarred: "Yeah, I think I am..I FEEL taller!"
Me: "Ya know what? I think you just might be."
Cut to Jarred smiling from ear to ear in my rear view mirror...

He is officially a kindergartner now..just ask him he will tell ya!!
We love you Jarred...Congratulations on your Big Day!!!!!!

A Blonde Moment...

So I have to confess...I had a MAJOR BLONDE moment!! I know I shouldn't tell all my dirty little secrets, but this one is, I have to admit, is what those love to hate blonde jokes are made of....
So the other day I was chatting on my cell phone to my dear Trina and I of course was multi-tasking, after all that is what us mommies do right? Anyhoo..She was talking in detail about some stuff and so I was listening intently and of course responding and adding my 2 cents when needed..hehe, all the while gathering Jarred and Hailey in the car to make a quick run to Wal-mart and some other misc. errands. I had to change cars and take our truck, because I was stopping by the butchers to pick up some meat and it was going to be alot of boxes and well my suburban was too messy in the back and I really didn't want or have time to clean it out. I got the kiddos loaded and all the while staying involved with the convo. I left my house and started on the 30 min. journey to Walley World, when about 5 min in I realized I forgot something....I started searching in my purse, searched the front seat and nothing. URGGGHHHH.. I must have left it in the suburban. Sigh, well I would just have to turn around and get it because I couldn't go all the way to this other town and not have this precious item..
Any guess what this little accessory might be?? Anyone, anyone??
So I pulled over, flipped a U-turn and headed back to my house. I pulled into my cul-de-sac and parked my truck and whispered to Jarred, because I was on the phone,
"Hey, mommy will be right back. I need to get my CELL PHONE. I think I left it in the suburban."
I start to get out and he says, "Mom, what are you talking on?"

HELLLLLLOOOOOO!!!!!!

OH my Goodness!!!
I started laughing and told Trina and she of course laughed hysterically!!!
Seriously, it never occurred to me that the device that was enabling me to have that very conversation was the device that I was turning the truck upside down looking for...
Oh my...I think I need some serious help.....

On to a different note, Trina mentioned in her recent post that we got a way last weekend and it was wonderful. Just having time to ourselves and and knowing that we had 2 whole days was priceless!! Our hubbys ARE the best and I have to say very handsome..hehe. The weekend was about being pampered and relaxing and that is just what we did!! I LOVE my Trina time and we have so much fun together that really it doesn't matter where we are..sigh..I miss her!!!
Well here is my little pic of the weekend and I am so glad that amongst the shopping, walking (in cute, but uncomfy shoes), eating and chatting that I just got to be me and she got to be her and that is what we do. We are who we are and that is what makes us great and irreplaceable!! Thanks for the blast, and I love YOU TrinaLeah!!

Just a couple of Girls on their way out to find some great sales and of course a STARBUCKS!!!
